School's in session

Once again school has started (albeit a month early) and we are in full swing! Kayli is in 3rd grade and Carson is in 1st although I teach them both together and just alter the lessons a little. I decided to start a year round schedule in order to eliminate so much downtime in the summer and give both myself and a the kids time to enjoy life as it happens. I still love having the kids at home and I love how much we all learn together! I never knew learning could be so much fun. Last night I met with the homeschool group we have joined and it was seriously a breath of fresh air! I got so many new ideas I want to try this year as we planned field trips and discussed curriculum. Every time I start to doubt if I'm doing the right thing for kids, I run across a great idea that seems to answer all of my questions. I'm so glad I was "forced" into this decision at first because it has bee life changing and I don't think I'll ever go back. My home is happier when it is filled with children! Welcome to Heritage Hall!
